Free-Tier Commitment

Lotus Mind exists so that ordinary people can use practical AI tools without paying, without being tracked, and without their data being sold. This page states, in plain words, the promises Lotus Mind Limited makes about the free tier of the Lotus Mind AI Hub and of AIKA AI Academy (aika.social). These promises are incorporated into our Terms of Service (§12) and are legal obligations, not marketing.

Lotus Mind Hub:

Membership starts free with no time limit, and the Hub's free-tier tools stay free for ordinary good-faith use. This is a founding commitment of Lotus Mind Limited.

AIKA AI Academy (aika.social):

Free AI learning for children ages 8–15 and for adult learners on the everyday track is free for every LotusMind member. Membership begins at our Free tier — which costs nothing and has no time limit. Registering is all it takes.

If Lotus Mind Limited is acquired, merges with another entity, or decides to discontinue the Hub's free tier or Aika.social, we will give at least six (6) months' written notice before any change takes effect. During that notice period you will have access to a data-export tool covering the full history of your data, and we will make a good-faith evaluation of open-sourcing the product or arranging a non-commercial handover. This obligation survives any change of control.

If we materially reduce the scope of any free-tier feature that is in active use — for example by introducing usage caps, removing functionality, or adding fees to previously free features — we will give at least ninety (90) days' written notice before the change takes effect. Notice will be given in-app and by email to registered users.

Free-tier usage is subject to fair-use limits to protect service quality for everyone. Limits apply only where a user is acting in bad faith — for example automated scraping, deliberate abuse of the service, or circumventing access controls. Ordinary good-faith use by individuals and small businesses is not restricted.

• You can export all data you have provided to or generated through the Hub at any time. Use "Export my data" in Settings, or email [email protected].
• Children's data — data relating to persons under 18 — is never sold and never used for advertising purposes, including targeted advertising, profiling, or behavioural tracking. This applies unconditionally and without time limit, including after any acquisition or change of control.
• AI tool inputs and outputs are never used to train models and are never sent to a third-party AI provider. See our Privacy Policy §8a.

We will not introduce a trial period or an expiry on free access that was previously offered as permanent, nor reduce the value of existing free access without the notice periods set out above.

Any successor entity acquiring Lotus Mind Limited agrees, as a condition of the transaction, to honour this commitment for a minimum of six (6) months post-acquisition. We will include this obligation as a binding condition in any acquisition agreement.
